Job Title: Talend Developer

Location: Onsite/Hybrid NJ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Talend Developer to design, develop, and optimize data integration solutions using Talend. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure smooth ETL workflows, data quality, and performance across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Talend Data Integration.

Work with various data sources such as RDBMS, flat files, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), and Big Data ecosystems.

Develop scalable, reusable, and high-performance Talend jobs.

Implement data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure high-quality datasets.

Collaborate with business analysts and architects to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Monitor and optimize Talend jobs for performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot data issues and provide timely resolutions.

Maintain documentation of ETL processes and data mappings.

Work with CI/CD pipelines for Talend job deployment and version control (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Ensure data security and compliance with enterprise standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with Talend Open Studio / Talend Enterprise.

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL and working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.

Experience with ETL design patterns, performance tuning, and error handling.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Platform BigQuery) and Talend integration with them.

Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is a plus.

Understanding of APIs, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML integration.

Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and DevOps tools.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Talend certification is a plus.

Experience with Data Governance, MDM, or Data Quality tools.

Knowledge of Python/Java scripting for advanced transformations.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
