Job Title: Project Manager
Location: San Bernardino, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Project Management team within an Energy Services division. The Project Manager will take ownership of a key project from mid-execution through completion, leading cross-functional teams of technicians, engineers, and project support staff to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently when needed. They demonstrate strong communication skills, accountability, and a focus on delivering high-quality results for clients while improving internal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a customer-facing energy/HVAC improvement project from mid-execution through closeout.
Lead and guide internal and external stakeholders to deliver project objectives and quality results.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, coordinating meetings, answering questions, and managing expectations.
Track project performance, budgets, revenue, payment schedules, and progress billing.
Evaluate, monitor, and mitigate project risks.
Improve internal processes related to customer engagement, project tracking, and budgeting.
Conduct difficult conversations and manage customer expectations effectively.
Manage subcontractors and coordinate activities as required.
Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) for alignment and reporting.
Ensure projects adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field required. Strong candidates with an Associate degree may be considered.
4 5+ years of experience in Project Management and/or Construction Management.
Experience in the energy sector preferred.
Construction experience preferred.
HVAC, client services, or controls experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, teams, vendors, and management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Trello, Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
Certifications (Preferred):
CAPM, PMP, and/or CEM certifications are highly preferred.
