Job Description:
  • The Senior Scrum Master will act as a key facilitator for multiple teams or as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART).
  • This role focuses on improving quality, predictability, and performance, supporting Agile ceremonies, and driving continuous improvement and Lean-Agile transformation within teams and across programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate team and ART progress toward goals by supporting daily, iteration, and PI objectives.
  • Lead efforts in continuous improvement, teaching problem-solving techniques, and fostering accountability.
  • Facilitate team-level and ART-level ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Definition of Done (DoD) and other working agreements.
  • Promote communication and collaboration across teams and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and other program-level meetings.
  • Coordinate with supporting teams such as UX, Architecture, and Shared Services.
  • Support Product Owners and Product Management in backlog management and prioritization.
  • Eliminate impediments by engaging appropriate stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Promote Lean-Agile leadership and culture change to improve agility and performance.
  • Lead initiatives to improve business agility, culture, and delivery efficiency.
Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Lean and Agile methodologies.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Kanban Lead.
  • Proven success leading multiple Agile teams toward maturity and improved outcomes.
  • Experience leading change and applying Lean-Agile methods in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in value stream mapping and system-level optimizations using Lean techniques.
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Expertise in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Knowledge of scaling frameworks like SAFe.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong accountability for program success and stakeholder alignment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Agile tools.
  • Ability to manage conflicts, drive change, and handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Advanced understanding of Product Ownership, DevOps, and Test Automation practices.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience required.
Certifications:
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Required.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification Preferred.
  • Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer Preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) Preferred.
