RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a PeopleSoft Payroll Manager in Miami, FL.
Overview:
The client is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented IT leader with a proven track record in managing and delivering multiple payrolls accurately and on time through enterprise systems, particularly PeopleSoft HR-Payroll. This hands-on role demands a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, deep understanding of payroll systems architecture, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative professional with expertise in IT governance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and payroll regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end payroll operations using PeopleSoft, ensuring compliance with tax, benefits, and SOX regulations across Shipside and Shoreside operations
* Manage paysheet creation, calculated fields, and payroll validation within enterprise systems
* Oversee stock-based compensation processing (RSUs, ESPP) for accurate income reporting and tax withholding
* Develop automated weekly payroll forecasts for Treasury and ensure timely reporting
* Ensure system updates align with federal and state regulatory changes
* Coordinate internal and external IT audits related to payroll
* Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in payroll systems
* Collaborate with IT, HRIS, and business stakeholders to optimize system functionality and streamline payroll processes
* Analyze payroll controls, identify efficiencies, and implement system improvements
* Deliver exceptional service using IT support tools to internal and external stakeholders
* Lead departmental IT initiatives and performance reviews using HRIS platforms
* Recruit, train, and develop payroll professionals with a focus on scalable IT processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or Business-related field
* 10+ years of relevant experience in IT operations, payroll systems, and/or related finance fields
* Shipside and Shoreside payroll systems experience required
* Strong analytical, research skills to analyze data and identify discrepancies to resolution using IT tools
* Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word); Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
* Ability to multitask and work autonomously in IT environments
* Ability to meet rigid deadlines effectively and efficiently using IT project management tools
* Relationship builder with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and IT teams
* Must be able to work well in fast-paced IT environments, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality of work
* Experience in the cruise industry and enterprise IT systems a plus
* Working experience of PeopleSoft HR-Payroll (North American Payroll) and financial systems, ADP Smart Compliance, ADP SmartView, and Workday preferred
* Experience working with Unions, Collective Bargaining Agreements and Employment Contracts preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
