Position Summary: Guidewire Architect

• The candidate is required to have good Guidewire Claim enter product experience and Insurance business knowledge along with other niche skills like ReactJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, and AWS.
• The candidate should also understand all the insurance claims processes and the peripheral integrating systems that integrate with the core Guidewire ClaimCenter application. The candidate needs to play a very critical role as an onshore Guidewire Senior Architect to provide Guidewire technical consultation, design and solutions, implementations, planning, and execution across all the phases in collaboration with various stakeholders.
• The candidate should be able to deliver the projects based on the business needs in a short time.
• The candidate should have good work experience following behavioural-driven development (BDD), understand the requirement that follows specification by example technique, uplifting the code with unit test coverages up to 100%, performance tuning the code, dev-ops pipelines.
• The candidate should be willing to adopt and learn any new technologies fast along with the project delivery.
• The candidate should have Guidewire Claim Centre knowledge and its core functionalities on reserves, claim transactions, payments, and financial modules.
• The candidate should be able to work in an agile environment and should drive the technical meetings, and workshops.

Mandatory Skills:

• Senior Guidewire Architect having 17+ years of IT experience, 10+ years of INS domain and 8+ certified Guidewire COTS product technical design and implementation experience across different types of large-scale Guidewire engagements.
• Strong expertise and SME across all Guidewire centers - PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter and foundation knowledge in Guidewire cloud platform.
• Strong functional, configuration and integrations experience across various engagements. Strong expertise and experience of E2E Guidewire program execution starting from product consulting, discovery, inception, implementation till go live and warranty execution. Additional preference of detailed techno functional knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Define strategy and approach for solution architecture across configuration, integration, data migration, and reporting tracks.
• Lead E2E program discovery and inception phases on understanding business needs, product solution consulting and fitment, technology and Guidewire solution design, current vs target system architecture, estimation and program plan, detailed backlog with priority and sequencing and sprint plan.
• Lead Guidewire solution detailed design for key and complex modules across config, INT, migration, and reporting tracks along with customer and Guidewire architects.
• Lead and drive implementation, stabilization, rollout, and warranty phases on technology/solutions front, key blocker solution enablement for business and IT along with customer and cognizant stakeholders.
• E2E Solution options consulting, cost benefit assessment, decision making process and execution along with cross track enterprise architects, business, and program management.
• Continuous technology value adds and focus on automation, performance and technical governance and enable it across the programs.
• Fitment assessment and implementation of Cognizant Guidewire Accelerators for business and IT value add benefits.
• Solution consulting adhere to business and technology short term and long-term vision.
• Providing planning and execution guidance for environment and infrastructure work streams.
• Focused and proactive tech solution participation for new initiatives in pipeline.
• Lead and governance concept POD to streamline multi PODs technical delivery.
• Participate in Program governance weekly calls to represent technology solution aspects.
• Lead the multiple GW PODS and plan/manage the sprint deliverables.
• Engage in business walkthrough, understand business requirements, and provide feasible solutions.
• Ensure best practices and code reviews consistency, pattern driven continuous improvements.
• Mentor and train new teammates to scale up for GW deliveries.
• Collaborate with multiple teams in integrations and defect triages.
• E2E Program re-planning as deemed necessary to mitigate the risks and identifying critical path for the success.
• Work and review key design changes on integration, reporting, and migration stories.
