Job Description - UI/UX Designer

Job location- Austin, Texas- Hybrid (In person Interview)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to lead the design and optimization of enterprise systems. This role will focus on improving accessibility, usability, and responsiveness by applying user-centered design principles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in user research, prototyping, and complex system design, with strong collaboration skills to align solutions with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business objectives and user needs to identify opportunities for design improvements and automation.
  • Conduct user research, journey mapping, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual hierarchies that align with accessibility guidelines and branding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate best practices in UI/UX design.
  • Participate in discovery workshops, sprint planning, and feedback sessions to ensure alignment with business and user needs.
  • Utilize tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Hotjar to create and refine designs.
  • Design user interfaces for AI/ML-enabled systems, focusing on explainable AI (XAI) and human-AI interaction principles.
  • Translate complex business rules, data, and regulatory requirements into intuitive, user-friendly designs.
  • Create data visualizations and graphical representations that present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG and others) for inclusive design.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders.


Candidate Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing user interfaces and experiences for enterprise systems using Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch.
  • 4+ years of proven collaboration with technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into intuitive, accessible design solutions.
  • 4+ years of experience applying UX design principles (hierarchy, contrast, alignment) for responsive web and mobile interfaces.
  • 4+ years of experience creating wireframes and prototypes supporting agile development cycles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing diagrams, workflows, and system architecture visuals.
  • 3+ years facilitating design workshops and stakeholder feedback sessions.
  • 3+ years Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple design streams across concurrent projects.
  • Experience with eligibility determination systems or other rule-based, data-intensive applications (a plus).
