Job Description:

Basically, they need to be able to be hands on config. I'll include some details below for you to help, but don't worry about sticking to these to a T as long as they have multiple TMS platforms and good communication with 8 years of experience or so, I should be able to market them accordingly.

Strong technical expertise in TMS (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder)
Experience designing and integrating IT solutions for TMS
Proven track record in managing large IT programs and digital transformation initiatives.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, Agile, Waterfall)
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
GxP validation preferred.

Job Description

Job Summary: Candidates should possess functional and technical skills, as well as demonstrate leadership and change management for TMS implementation. Responsibilities include designing and executing Transportation Management Systems, as well as facilitating workshops to gather requirements and translate them into system specifications, while standardizing processes and incorporating best practices. Successful candidates will manage strategic challenges and ensure that supply chain technology aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities: The IT Functional/Technical will lead the design and development of TMS solutions, focusing on optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and growth.
Solution Design and Delivery
Design and implement innovative solutions for Transportation Management Systems (TMS) that meet business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Conduct system testing and troubleshooting and resolve any issues that arise.
Oversee and develop comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, and user manuals.
Work on medium to large-scale IT projects, ensuring successful delivery using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Provide insights and recommendations for system enhancements and process improvements.
Complete assigned tasks, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies and governance frameworks.
Proactively seek feedback to identify unmet needs in the logistics and transportation market, incorporating insights into the strategy to achieve divisional objectives effectively.
