Job Description:
POSITION: Senior Big Data Engineer
JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]
Duties: Create and enhance business needs in CDO data platform target architecture frameworks including Azure and AWS. Develop enablers and data platforms in multi cloud big data environments and maintain integrity during the life cycle phase. Design and develop test automation to validate code builds in CI pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins. Deploy applications in AKS clusters and maintain both managed and stand-alone clusters utilizing Nginx and LDAP authentication. Utilize monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager. Maintain and support cloud solutions and ensure standard processes exist for systems utilizing cloud compliance tools including Astra Patch for virtual machines. Utilize Docker containers and Kubernetes containerized solutions in both on-prem and on cloud environments. Utilize scripting languages including Shell, PowerShell, Python, and Bash. Use Terraform and CloudFormation for automated cloud infra deployments and Ansible for configuration management. Implement centralized monitoring and alerting systems across multiple cloud environments in both AWS and Azure. Utilize AWS services including EC2, ELB, Lambda, Route53, EKS, Active Directory, VPC, IAM, AMI, S3, and RDS. Utilize Azure services including VM, VMSS, VNets, AKS, LBs, PLS.PLE, DNS Zones, storage accounts, and Azure monitor and log analytics. Create Infoworks Domains, NIFI environments, sources, pipelines, and workflows for data movement from various sources to Snowflake destinations. Use data movement tools including SFTP and Connect Direct. Create and manage SQL servers and SQL databases. Design disaster recovery methods and implement them for all infrastructures in Cloud environments.
