Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert for critical systems supporting SNAP, TANF, Child Support, Child Welfare, and related programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective design, functionality, and support of systems that directly impact community services across the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on systems supporting state-administered social service programs, including SNAP, TANF, Child Support, and Child Welfare.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and program staff to gather and analyze requirements for system enhancements and new implementations.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support system testing, validation, and implementation to ensure solutions meet program needs.
  • Provide guidance and expertise during system emergencies and on-call support situations.
  • Document processes, workflows, and system configurations to ensure long-term maintainability and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, with demonstrated expertise in systems supporting SNAP, TANF, Child Support, and Child Welfare.
  • Strong knowledge of state government operations, preferably within the Mississippi government.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with system integration platforms and enterprise-level tools.
  • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
