Job Description:
REMOTE TYPE: *Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W Plano Pkwy. Plano, TX 75075 [Hybrid position]
DUTIES: Facilitate the deployment, monitoring, and response for applications, alongside managing problem resolution and service assurance, including status updates and metrics. Optimize and configure both applications and infrastructure components. Execute tasks related to the implementation of new applications and modifications to existing ones, encompassing scheduling and change management. Supervise and engage in the design, construction, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters, while managing and enhancing public cloud platforms like Azure. Monitor application availability and end-to-end performance metrics, addressing issues related to application availability, CBS ownership, productivity, business flow, and user problems tied to customer ordering, provisioning, and service assurance. Coordinate integrated problem resolution and solve complex problems using analysis and standard approaches to CBS business and transaction flow issues. Administer tools necessary for CBS support, testing, and performance configuration. Support CBS alarms, transaction flow, analysis, and correlation. Identify improvement areas and develop action plans to enhance CBS and application performance. Oversee SLAs and contribute to long-term planning. Participate in established ITO problem management processes. Utilize tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Nagios, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, and possess knowledge of Cloud stack, GitOps, Ansible, and Terraform. Onboard clients using supporting platforms, comprehending complex application dependencies, and demonstrating expert knowledge in observability tools and Azure pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical issues related to software applications and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of applications and services. Identify and implement process improvements, lead automation initiatives, and apply the latest industry trends and best practices in application support, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. Utilize Unix/Linux/Ubuntu, Shell Scripting, Perl, JIRA/iTrack. Utilize cloud computing platforms (Azure). Utilize programming languages (Java). Monitor application availability and end to end application performance and metrics. Manage application availability issues. Coordinate integrated problem resolution.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Unix/Linux/Ubuntu, Shell Scripting, Perl, JIRA/iTrack; utilizing cloud computing platforms (Azure); utilizing programming languages (Java); monitoring application availability and end to end application performance and metrics; managing application availability issues; and coordinating integrated problem resolution.
