The Role:
The Launch Electrical Process Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufacturing requirements, best practices, and Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) elements are successfully implemented during vehicle launch. This role is responsible for overseeing the deployment and functionality of in-process electrical testers, ensuring they are properly integrated into the manufacturing flow and meet quality standards. The coordinator works closely with the Launch Wiring Coordinator to support Wiring Harness Assessments (WHAs), develop and refine Job Element Sheets (JES) verbiage, and ensure that all electrical elements are accurately represented and executed at each job station. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to drive launch readiness and resolve issues swiftly.
What You'll Do:
Serve as a member of the plant's Electrical Team, collaborating across Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Product Development to resolve top internal and external quality issues
Report to Lead Launch Electrical Coordinator
Ensure full compliance with Electrical BoO standards
Lead corrective actions for electrical process and in-process tester issues
Complete required training at GM and supplier sites (Travel Required)
Participate in launch activities including virtual, prototype, and validation builds to integrate electrical processes and best practices across General Assembly and Value-Added Assembly (VAA) plants
Collaborate with suppliers and MEVS to develop in-process electrical testers, including product data sharing and timeline management
Validate tester functionality at plant and VAA sites to ensure comprehensive connection detection
Manage Electrical 5F process for in-plant tester stations, support VAA teams in presenting test data
Own BoO elements related to plant electrical training and support VAA plant training efforts

5 + Years Experience in Manufacturing
Strong Interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
Self-motivated and innovative
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Strong Problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in training Automotive electrical
Experience implementing and/or working with in-process test equipment
In- depth Knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) and BIQ4 deliverables
