We are seeking a seasoned Endpoint Engineer to join our dynamic Endpoint Engineering team. This individual will play a critical role in modernizing and managing Windows device platforms, focusing on operational excellence, automation, and reliability. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in desktop engineering, a strategic mindset, and a passion for improving system health, user experience, and compliance across a large enterprise environment.


Our Endpoint Engineers are at the forefront of improving our device lifecycle management. They identify and address gaps in current processes, automate manual tasks, and drive innovation to enhance reliability, reduce operational costs, and ensure the seamless delivery of endpoint services. This position will be instrumental in the transition from SCCM to Intune for modern Windows device management.

Responsibilities




  • Oversee the setup and management of SCCM for devices requiring specialized business policies.




  • Collaborate with application and business technology teams to support application platforms and ensure performance and compatibility.




  • Automate requests, provisioning, and build processes to streamline management of Windows environments.




  • Improve patching and vulnerability compliance across all workstations, aligned with cybersecurity standards.




  • Lead operational enhancements in request handling and support processes for Windows systems.




  • Act as Tier 3 support for escalated issues and manage end-to-end problem resolution.




  • Mentor and train operations and engineering staff, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.




  • Leverage deep OS/application troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently.




  • Lead and manage projects focused on system performance, user experience, and compliance.




  • Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to enhance system health and operational support.




  • Stay informed of evolving EUC technologies, trends, and best practices, applying them to current processes.




Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.




  • 8+ years of experience in desktop/end-user systems engineering and administration within a large enterprise (30,000+ endpoints).




  • Strong skills in automation and scripting with Ansible, Bash, NQL, and PowerShell.




  • Deep understanding of IT security and compliance best practices.




  • Experience with automated workstation build methodologies, software packaging, and deployment systems.




  • Proficiency in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, Nexthink, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.




  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of internal staff and vendors.




  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across Operations, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Application teams.




  • Able to work independently while contributing as a key member of a team.




Preferred




  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Intune and modern device management.





Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $65-75/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
