Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (AWS Certified)

Location: Denver, CO
Rate: W2 Competitive (based on experience and market standards)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with AWS certification and strong networking expertise. The ideal candidate will play a key role in reviewing architectural requirements, providing network design analysis, and implementing complex network configurations. This role involves working with regional and national data centers to support a service provider network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review architectural requirements and provide analysis for network and service specifications, network design, network partitioning, and network architecture definition.
  • Engineer, plan, and implement complex network configurations for regional and national data centers.
  • Communicate engineering solutions through detailed high- and low-level diagrams and Engineering Design Packages.
  • Develop network test, validation, and integration plans for projects, ensuring network integrity.
  • Collaborate independently with vendors to understand, test, and drive new innovative features.

Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
  • Professional networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier space
  • 3+ years of experience with data center networking
  • Extensive knowledge of data center networking, BGP, IS-IS, VRFs, QoS, MPLS, and/or segment routing (SR-MPLS, SRv6)
  • Experience with connectivity to high-speed public Internet facilities
  • Proficiency in highly available network architectures, failover, and redundant configurations
  • Expertise in software-defined networking (design and traffic engineering)
  • Network configuration automation (scripting with Perl, Python, Bash)
