Job Title: Power BI Fabric Engineer & Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid Onsite 1 Day/Week)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Job Type: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Power BI Fabric Engineer & Developer to join a dynamic Data & Analytics team. This hybrid role based in Jersey City, NJ, involves both engineering and development responsibilities focused on Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related automation and integration technologies.
You ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing modern business intelligence solutions with a strong focus on performance, governance, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
< data-start="992" data-end="1033">Power BI Architecture & Development:</>Design and maintain scalable, governed Power BI architecture.
Handle data ingestion using Fabric Pipelines & OneLake.
Create and optimize semantic models, DAX calculations, and interactive dashboards.
Establish naming conventions, version control strategies, and governance policies.
Manage enterprise datasets, certified dataflows, and shared workspaces.
Utilize Microsoft Fabric features including:
Direct Lake, Lakehouses, OneLake, and Data Pipelines.
Develop and orchestrate automated data workflows supporting both real-time and batch analytics.
Develop Power Automate flows for:
Report refresh scheduling
Alert and notification systems
Third-party API and system integrations
Streamline manual business processes for efficiency and traceability.
Use Power Query (M Language) for advanced data transformation and validation.
Integrate solutions with Azure services, REST APIs, and external data sources.
Ensure robust deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting for reporting solutions.
Work directly with business stakeholders to understand and translate needs into technical solutions.
Provide clear communication across technical and non-technical teams.
Document technical designs, processes, and user guides for knowledge transfer and adoption.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Proven experience in Power BI development and architecture.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Pipelines, Lakehouses, OneLake).
Proficiency with DAX, M Language, Power Automate, and workflow scripting.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise BI best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills.
