Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect (Canada Remote)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and support of cloud solutions across the full application lifecycle. You will drive cloud migration strategies, ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available and scalable systems.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of secure and scalable cloud solutions.
- Develop and implement migration strategies to transition existing workloads to the cloud.
- Continuously improve architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Create proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and techniques.
- Ensure all solutions meet quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver project milestones on schedule.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and IT teams.
- Lead compliance and risk assessments of cloud architectures.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance cloud strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in AWS Solution Architecture.
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, OCI, Azure, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with designing modern technology stacks (microservices, containers, distributed systems).
- Proven track record of leading cloud migration projects.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK).
- Skilled in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Golang, or TypeScript).
- Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture including networking, storage, compute, and virtualization.
- Associate or Professional-level Cloud Architect certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills.
- Autonomous, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
- Other Cloud Certifications (Azure, OCI, Google Cloud Platform) are a plus.
