Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Mainframe Programmer in Albany, NY.

Description:
The consultant will assist with all the phases of the SDLC related to new development as well as maintenance of assigned areas:
? Participate in requirements gathering,
? Analysis and design,
? Coding and unit/integration testing.
? Create/update program specifications and detail design documents.
? Research and fix production issues.
? Assist with application performance tuning.
? Mentor other programming staff.

Mandatory Qualifications:
? Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
? Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

? 84 months of COBOL programming experience in an IBM Mainframe Environment utilizing TSO.
? 84 months of MVS JCL experience.
? 84 months of IBM DB2 experience for z/OS working with databases.
? 48 months experience with IBM MQ Series.
? 60 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
? 84 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component bases systems.
