Desktop Engineer - Hybrid
Our client located in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Desktop Engineer for their corporate headquarters. This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 2 days a week.
Your Impact
As a Desktop Engineer, you ll lead and support desktop operations across 1,500+ devices, overseeing initiatives like Windows 11 upgrades, mobile device management, and endpoint security. You'll play a critical role in improving user experience, driving compliance, and integrating modern tools and platforms.
What You ll Do
- Manage and enhance the desktop engineering environment
- Lead enterprise-wide Windows 11 upgrade and ensure CIS Level 1 compliance
- Oversee 1,500+ desktop/laptop devices and mobile endpoints
- Serve as SME for Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Entra ID (Azure AD), and GPO
- Streamline asset and endpoint management through ServiceNow integration
- Ensure effective patching, compliance reporting, and vulnerability mitigation
- Create secure desktop images, manage software packaging and deployments
- Mentor IT staff, resolve escalated issues, and collaborate cross-functionally
- Maintain operational documentation and drive cloud-based solution adoption
What You Bring
- High school diploma required; bachelor s degree preferred
- 3+ years with enterprise Windows 11 migrations, CIS compliance, and vendor coordination
- 6+ years supporting enterprise platforms (Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, GPO)
- Experience with mobile device management, Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows/Mac OS
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead technical initiatives
- Valid driver s license
