Job Overview:
This is a backfill position for a Sr. Architect role. The position is a 4-month contract-to-hire (CTH) opportunity, requiring the candidate to follow a hybrid work model. There will be one round of onsite interviews, and the hiring manager is open to considering visa candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development efforts for systems integration projects.
• Analyze business data requirements to create accurate, extensible, and flexible logical data models using modeling tools.
• Collaborate closely with the delivery team, anticipate and address issues, provide alternative approaches, and continuously improve application performance.
• Create and promote patterns/techniques to foster DevOps adoption.
• Collaborate with enterprise teams to modernize the technology stack and align with enterprise goals.
• Maintain technical specifications and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5 years of application systems design experience.
  • 2 years of architectural and design experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10 years of application systems design experience.
  • 5 years of architectural/design experience or technical/team leadership experience.
  • Experience in the airline industry.
• Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • Hands-on experience in systems development across various computing architectures and environments, with a deep understanding of architectural concepts, issues, and trends.
  • Experience with end-to-end cloud migration of legacy applications.
  • Understanding of networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of secure application development practices to comply with PCI and Data Privacy standards.
  • Familiarity with containers and container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of systems integration practices and Service-Oriented Architecture principles, including XML, SOAP, REST, and JSON.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as .NET/J2EE, Microsoft technology, UNIX/Linux, MQ Series, UML, n-tiered web architecture, relational databases, and web development (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Experience with Oracle/SQL Server.
  • Expertise in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development tools, testing methodologies, and requirements gathering.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps toolchain technologies.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and Big Data development.
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently while maintaining procedural discipline.

Pay Range: $75 - $80/Hr
