Job Title: Mid-Level Network Admin/Engineer
Location: VA (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Join our team as a Mid-Level Network Admin role, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network solutions with a focus on Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and Cisco SD-WAN technologies. You ll work hands-on with Cisco networking hardware/software, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI and Cisco SD-WAN solutions in data center and branch environments.

  • Support network refresh and migration projects, including staging, equipment shipping, and on-site coordination.

  • Monitor network performance, analyze issues, and proactively resolve problems to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver on business and technical requirements.

  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for operational teams.

  • Participate in change management processes and track requests through ticketing systems.

  • Contribute to network automation initiatives using tools such as Ansible and Python.

  • Provide technical support and training to end users and junior staff.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 6 years of experience as a Network Engineer in a Cisco environment (with relevant degree) or 6 8 years without a degree.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and SD-WAN technologies (configuration, deployment, and support).

  • Strong understanding of Cisco ACI architecture, policies, and integrations.

  • Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, and network segmentation.

  • Proven experience with network troubleshooting and performance monitoring.

  • Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Python) and infrastructure-as-code practices.

  • Experience with ticketing and change management processes in enterprise environments.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Certifications: CCNA (required), CCNP (preferred).

  • Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments.

  • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
