Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Application Developer (Intermediate) to join its Information Technology Division. The developer will work under general direction, performing a wide range of complex application development tasks that support DWD’s mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and debug new and existing Java-based applications.

  • Evaluate, identify, and develop effective software solutions to meet business needs.

  • Lead and participate in software development projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Document all aspects of application design, development, and deployment.

  • Plan, track, and schedule software deliverables.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in software and hardware integration.

  • Monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Managers, Testers, and Architects.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with established coding standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Java application development and related frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and best practices.

  • Experience with debugging, testing, and performance tuning.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
