Job Details

Job Summary (List Format):

- Full-time, remote network engineering position (must be based in DMV Area; no travel/in-person work required)
- Support rollout and deployment of new SD-WAN, access points, UPS hardware, and Direct Internet Access circuits at ~68 remote office locations
- Coordinate with on-site personnel and remote technicians for hardware setup, configuration, shipping, and installation
- Remotely configure hardware prior to deployment and validate installations after deployment
- Ensure hardware is integrated into management and monitoring platforms (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, SolarWinds)
- Act as Tier 3 support for network incidents and troubleshoot escalated issues (hardware, connectivity, circuit outages, etc.)
- Provide support for incidents at four data center locations (AARP NHQ, Lakewood, Equinix-LA, Equinix-Ashburn)
- Complete routine network operations tasks (e.g., firewall policy updates, switchport configuration, documentation updates, audit support)
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers for hardware logistics and deployments
- Required expertise in Fortinet Fortigate/Secure SD-WAN/FortiManager, Cisco Meraki switches/access points, and nation-wide hardware deployments
- Preferred experience with ServiceNow, PagerDuty, SolarWinds, Atlassian JIRA, and working in agile environments
- Relevant network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Net+) preferred
- Fixed rate, monthly billing; availability required during standard ET business hours; position runs through December 31, 2025
