About the Role

This IIoT Solution Engineer role blends deep technical integration work with strategic customer-facing collaboration. You will own solution design and delivery, guiding clients in their journey toward automation and smarter operations. From architecture to edge-device connectivity to data visualization, you'll be responsible for enabling robust, secure, and insightful IIoT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle IIoT solution implementation projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and optimization.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to assess needs, define scope, and translate shop floor data into actionable insights.
  • Design solution architectures that integrate production machinery, edge devices, IT infrastructure, and data platforms.
  • Identify optimal connectivity methods using industrial controls like PLCs, sensors, and OPC/UA technologies.
  • Customize dashboards and interfaces to support user interaction and real-time data capture.
  • Conduct client training and provide documentation to ensure successful adoption.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for production processes and technology configurations.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal teams, fostering trust and ensuring project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering IIoT, MES, or industrial data acquisition projects.
  • 1+ year in a customer-facing or technical lead capacity.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition platforms (e.g., OAS, Kepware, Open OPC) and industrial protocols (e.g., MQTT, Modbus, MTConnect).
  • Working knowledge of control systems, sensors, Field I/O, and hardware from vendors like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases, SCADA platforms, and network infrastructure.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices in industrial environments.
  • Comfortable with configuring device drivers, setting up tags, and interfacing with MES, ERP, or CMMS systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the US.
