We are looking for Server Analyst - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Brooks, AB
Job Title: Server Analyst - Remote / Telecommute

Requirement/Must Have:
  • University degree in Computing Science or related discipline with server analyst experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and change windows as required.
  • Experience upgrading Windows Server 2012/2016 to Windows Server 2019/2022.
  • Experience provisioning and supporting VMware ESXi 7.0 environments.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server 2019 or 2022 in a production environment.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 7 years of server analyst experience depending on education level.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting VMware ESXi environments with 20 plus hosts.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Windows Server 2019 or 2022.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise server operations and infrastructure support.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve server core infrastructure functionality.
  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Perform hardware and operating system installations, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Plan and support software and hardware upgrades or migrations.
  • Maintain operating systems and related infrastructure software.
  • Develop and maintain system and operational documentation.
  • Develop system-related procedures and best practices.
  • Provide cross-training and knowledge transfer to other server team members.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Should Have:
  • Experience automating tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Experience with centralized patch management tools.
  • Experience managing capacity and resources in VMware environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise server hardware.
  • Experience using IT service management or ticketing systems.
  • Experience working in multi-team IT support environments.
Skills:
  • Windows Server administration.
  • VMware ESXi virtualization.
  • Server infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • System upgrades and migrations.
  • Documentation and process development.
  • Incident and change management.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualification and Education:
  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in Computing Science or a related discipline.
