Position: SAP Project Manager

Job Location- Houston, Texas(Hybrid- 4 days/week)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead a complex Maximo-to-SAP data migration program and manage the integration of newly acquired plants into the company s SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep project management expertise, strong knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) processes, and hands-on experience in data migration methodologies.

This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring data integrity, mitigating risks, and delivering a seamless integration of new assets and operations into the client s SAP environment.



Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery for the Maximo to SAP data migration initiative.
  • Manage integration activities for newly acquired plants, ensuring alignment with corporate SAP standards.
  • Define project scope, timelines, resource plans, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and project reviews.

Data Migration Management

  • Oversee data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading (ETL) from Maximo into SAP.
  • Coordinate functional and technical teams to ensure accurate migration of asset, maintenance, equipment, work order, and master data.
  • Validate data quality and enforce data governance standards.
  • Manage data load testing cycles, mock conversions, and cutover execution.

SAP Plant Maintenance Expertise

  • Provide functional oversight for SAP PM processes such as equipment hierarchy, maintenance plans, notifications, and work orders.
  • Ensure migrated data supports operational requirements in SAP PM.
  • Collaborate with business SMEs to harmonize maintenance strategies and plant structures.

Integration of New Plants

  • Assess new plant operational models, maintenance processes, and data readiness.
  • Develop integration playbooks, onboarding plans, and system readiness checklists.
  • Ensure seamless integration of plant assets, maintenance processes, and organizational structures into SAP.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with business leads, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to executive stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration between global and regional teams.

Risk, Issue & Change Management

  • Identify and manage project risks, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Lead change management activities, including training, UAT coordination, and business readiness.
  • Drive resolution of issues related to data integrity, system defects, or process gaps.



Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience as an SAP Project Manager or ERP Program Manager.
  • Proven experience managing data migration projects, preferably Maximo SAP.
  • Strong functional understanding of SAP PM modules and related integration points (MM, FI, PS).
  • Experience with plant onboarding or integration during mergers & acquisitions.
  • Solid knowledge of ETL tools, data validation, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or SAP Activate certification (preferred).



Preferred Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, utilities, energy, or asset-intensive industries.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Understanding of master data standards, asset hierarchies, and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to work cross-culturally and manage global teams.
