Job Description:
As a Senior UX Designer, you will collaborate within high-performing, cross-organizational teams to enhance Member experiences.
Key responsibilities include conducting user research, generating ideas, creating prototypes, and delivering high fidelity design solutions in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires six years of experience in Product Design or UX Design.
Candidates should possess strong skills in communication, collaboration, and facilitation, as well as proficiency in design tools. A portfolio showcasing relevant digital design experience is required.
To be considered for this Senior UX Designer contract role, candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing recent, real-world projects. A strong understanding of UX principles through well-documented work is essential. Your portfolio should include detailed case studies that clearly articulate the problem, the design rationale, the design process, and the outcomes. To ensure your portfolio effectively demonstrates your qualifications, please include the following:
Recent work: Reflecting modern design aesthetic and current technologies.
Detailed case studies: Explaining the problem, your role, the design process, and the results achieved.
Clear rationale: A demonstration of your thought process and decision-making.
Easy navigation: Making it simple to understand the scope and depth of your work.
Demonstrated experience in applying best practices in website navigation, mobile patterns, information architecture, and usability.
Proficiency in designing user interfaces for responsive web and native applications (iOS, Android, etc.).
Demonstrated experience leading UX execution for large-scale, complex projects.
Ability to translate business objectives and research findings into high-impact, user-centered solutions.
Ability to apply human-centered design principles and methods to create effective solutions that align with user needs.
Skilled in facilitating cross-functional sessions, collaborating with team members, and building consensus among diverse groups.

A designer in this role is responsible for supporting the design team by defining business problems and design requirements, facilitating design sessions, collaborating with team members to break down complex problems into manageable tasks, and navigating the entire work stream from discovery through delivery. They also participate in research efforts, synthesize findings, create end-to-end member experiences, present their work effectively, and ensure compliance with risk management policies.
What are some job responsibilities specific to your team for this role?
A designer in this role has the potential to contribute across several design teams applied to different products within a complex large-scale program in different phases of delivery.
The candidate should have expert-level proficiency in Figma to include advanced features such as Auto Layout
This position does not require proficiency in executing Design Research, but candidates should have a portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to synthesize and apply Research findings throughout the Design process
Candidate portfolios should demonstrate experience working with enterprise products and systems. We're looking for candidates confident in navigating and managing complexity, as they will be responsible for contributing to the design of five individual, standalone product experiences that must function as a consistent and cohesive suite, and also seamlessly integrate as a bundled product experience.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are critical because we have a diverse set of cross-functional partnerships, some of which we work with on a routine basis but others that we pull in on a targeted basis.
Candidates should demonstrate their ability to communicate their experience and portfolio concisely in response to interview questions.
