We're looking for a Java Lead for Server-Side Development to:
provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
help designing/Coding, conducting code reviews, and testing software as needed along with participation in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
provide technical, troubleshooting, and design guidance to other team members including team management and oversight responsibilities
maintain health and hygiene of application portfolio and ensuring compliance with firm, regulatory, and legal guidelines
understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
share knowledge and expertise with colleagues , help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Weehawken: the salary range for this role is $150000 to $205000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team
You'll be working in the Field Technology. We are part of the Wealth Management Americas IT organization; we are responsible for providing the core applications used by the Financial Advisors, branch support staff, and the home office team. We are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of these applications.
Your expertise
Bachelor or equivalent focusing on engineering or science or foreign equivalent
ideally 10+ years of commercial hands-on experience in building robust and scalable enterprise applications
ideally 3 years hands-on experience with Microservices architecture
proficient knowledge of back-end development (Modern Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP, SQL/NoSQL, Redis or a similar distributed Java caching framework)
experience in databases (preferably Postgres) and with one or more Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
experience in Agile software development methodology
experience in TDD alongside use of automated test frameworks, mocking/stubbing etc
experience in web application security, authentication methodologies, and SSO technologies
understanding of code/API versioning, experience with tools (GitLab, Jira) and DevOps process
experience working with geographically dispersed teams that fall across time zones
Software designer with the ability to balance architecture tradeoffs in a system design
