Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage capital projects focused on upgrading NJ TRANSIT s Passenger Communications (Pass Comm) technologies including PA systems and station signage.

As the key liaison between NJ TRANSIT and vendors, you will oversee project execution from planning to delivery, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Pass Comm Technology with NJ TRANSIT Capital Team for all station upgrade programs.

  • Lead project management for current and future PA system and station signage upgrades.

  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for seamless project execution.

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Manage project budgets and timelines, adjusting as needed.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.

  • Manage risks and resolve issues proactively.

  • Foster strong relationships with NJ TRANSIT clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.

  • Proven experience working with Pass Comm Technologies (Passenger Communication systems) at NJ TRANSIT or similar transit agencies.

  • Knowledge of NJ TRANSIT PA systems and station signage equipment is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication skills ability to explain technical info to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
