Genesis10 is seeking an Entry-Level Helpdesk Technician. This is an on-site 6 - month contract position with a client located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Compensation: $18.00-20.00/HR W2
Job Description:
We are seeking an Entry-Level Helpdesk Technician to provide hands-on technical support across four school locations in the area. This is a 6-month contract role ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys working directly with end users, troubleshooting issues, and providing reliable, friendly support in an educational environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support to faculty and staff, both in person and remotely
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals)
  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access issues
  • Support common operating systems and applications (Windows, Microsoft 365, basic networking)
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed
  • Perform basic equipment setup, imaging, and deployment
  • Travel between four school campuses to provide on-site support as scheduled
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced, user-facing environment
Requirements:
  • 02 years of IT support, helpdesk, or technical customer service experience (internships or coursework acceptable)
  • Basic understanding of desktop/laptop hardware, Windows OS, and common office applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between four local school locations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or in progress)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL concepts
  • Experience supporting users in a school or educational setting
  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification (or interest in obtaining)
