Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid 3 Days Remote, 2 Days Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative, with possible extension)

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join the Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) team supporting healthcare applications. These applications provide critical support for access to healthcare for vulnerable populations in Massachusetts.

The primary responsibility of this role will be to support the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) application, including managing testing activities and providing QA support for additional MSD applications as needed. This role includes analyzing requirements, designing and developing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, logging and tracking defects, and reporting test metrics. The position is hybrid, with occasional on-site presence required in Quincy, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of day-to-day testing activities.

  • Participate in weekly project meetings and defect triage/remediation sessions.

  • Collaborate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and reusable test scripts.

  • Conduct requirements verification, functional, regression, security, ADA, and end-to-end testing.

  • Document and track defects, ensuring timely remediation and accountability.

  • Prepare test data and support performance testing in collaboration with the QA technical team.

  • Perform gap analysis and identify new test scenarios.

  • Develop test automation scripts and provide technical support for automation.

  • Generate and distribute Test Summary Reports after each cycle.

  • Collaborate with QA Managers, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure requirements are met.

  • Assist with scope review sessions and ensure testing completion aligns with project deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and software certification techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and in team environments while providing QA support across projects.

  • Proficiency in backend testing and SQL (including subqueries and joins).

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.

  • Proficiency in Jira or similar defect tracking tools.

  • Experience with QA tools such as IBM Test Manager, HP Quality Center, IBM ClearQuest, LoadRunner, and QTP.

  • Skilled in MS Office Suite.

  • Experience reviewing business analyst deliverables to ensure well-defined requirements and use cases.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, and regression testing.

  • Prior experience in healthcare or government projects is highly desirable.
