Smart Home Warehouse and Inventory Administrator

Bob's Smart Home, a division of Bob's Heating & Air Conditioning, is hiring to fill the position of Warehouse and Inventory Administrator.


Bob s Smart Home specializes in the installation, programming, service and repair of the following systems: Structured Wiring, Networking Solutions, Surveillance & Security Systems, Lighting Control, Home Automation & Home Control, Home Theater, Distributed Audio & Video, and Shading Systems.

We re seeking a highly organized Warehouse & Inventory Administrator to help keep our Smart Home division running efficiently behind the scenes. This role is critical to job readiness managing inventory, staging materials, coordinating orders, and supporting our field operations team with the right supplies. You ll be the hub for daily supply chain logistics and a key partner to making sure we have what we need, when we need it.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Job Duties:

    Inventory Management & Procurement

    • Maintain accurate stock levels of job-critical components (e.g., conduit, wire, fasteners)
    • Forecast material needs based on project schedules and job backlog
    • Create and manage POs for stock and job-specific items
    • Work closely with vendors to track deliveries, expedite orders, and handle returns
    • Update system pricing and catalog data to ensure accuracy in proposals and billing

    Warehouse Operations

    • Receive, inspect, and organize inbound deliveries
    • Stage job kits daily based on install schedules
    • Track work-in-progress inventory for open jobs
    • Manage RMAs and warranty returns through vendor portals
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse

    Logistics & Systems Coordination

    • Use D-Tools and Tracknicity to track material movement and job status
    • Communicate part readiness to scheduling team
    • Support accounting with PO verification and pricing discrepancies
    • Deliver or pick up materials locally as needed (company vehicle provided)


    Skills & Qualifications Required:

    • 2+ years experience in warehouse, purchasing, or inventory control preferably in construction, AV, or smart home industries
    • Working knowledge of warehouse or ERP software (D-Tools, Tracknicity, or similar)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and digital file organization
    • Strong communication, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly and safely operate in a warehouse environment

    Preferred but Not Required

    • Experience supporting field operations in AV, electrical, HVAC, or smart home installation
    • Familiarity with home automation products and structured cabling materials
    • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain

    • Ability to pass a background check

    • Good driving record and a valid driver s license
