Industry: Technology / Automation / Microsoft Power PlatformWe are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform to design tailored automation solutions that meet specific business needs. This role involves hands-on development, solution architecture, and mentoring junior engineers on best practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about low-code technologies and driving digital transformation through automation.
Key ResponsibilitiesBasic Qualifications
- Design and develop custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
- Create and optimize business process automations using Power Automate.
- Build data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI.
- Develop and maintain AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Integrate conversational experiences with backend systems (Dataverse, Azure services, APIs, legacy apps).
- Connect Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and other services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and solution architectures.
- Stay current with Power Platform and Microsoft AI roadmap developments.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead tactical problem-solving efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 7+ years of technical experience.
- Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Studio.
- Expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio (chatbot authoring, trigger phrases, entities, API integration).
- Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Azure Logic Apps/Functions.
- Familiarity with Power Fx, low-code expressions, and custom connectors.
- Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, PowerShell, or C#).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in agile and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to AI Builder, Copilot integrations, or Azure OpenAI services.
- UX/UI design experience for apps and chatbot interfaces.
- Understanding of ALM and DevOps practices for Power Platform.
- Microsoft Certifications (preferred):
- PL-100: Power Platform App Maker
- PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant
- PL-400: Power Platform Developer
- PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals
