As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-performance, scalable software applications. This hands-on engineering position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. You will collaborate across teams to drive technical innovation, mentor junior engineers, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development and automation.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, and code high-quality software applications using diverse programming languages.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements, estimate tasks, and design solutions.
  • Develop and execute automated test plans; debug and fix code issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and environment problems.
  • Support and facilitate seamless software deployment processes.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to long-term technical strategies.

What You'll Bring:
  • Proven problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in Java, RESTful APIs, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Kafka, Microservices, database technologies, and related testing tools/methodologies.
  • Proficient in advanced Git usage and branching strategies.
  • Skilled in cloud platforms, Cosmos DB (NoSQL), data manipulation, migration, and flat file staging.
  • Experienced with API documentation (Swagger), monitoring, and dashboards using ELK and Dynatrace.
  • Strong knowledge of data formats and testing tools: JSON, XML, SoapUI, JUnit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Leadership abilities to guide, motivate, and uphold engineering standards within the team.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on design and coding.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Our Lead Software Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
