Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Insurance Applications/Solutions Delivery Lead for a Full-Time assignment with one of our premier Insurance clients in Midtown NYC. Hybrid 3x weekly onsite
The Insurance Solutions Delivery Lead is a pivotal leadership role in driving both business and technology transformation. This position will partner with business leaders across Life, Long-Term Care (LTC), Disability Insurance (DI), and Business Solutions to develop and execute a multi-year strategy that maximizes value from our technology investments. Leading analysts, architects, and engineers, the Delivery Lead will ensure the design, build, testing, and continuous improvement of solutions that meet business stakeholders' needs to achieve the vision above.
This role will collaborate with the Insurance Solutions business leadership team to prioritize initiatives, optimize delivery execution, and achieve key business outcomes. Exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of the insurance business, strategic vision, stakeholder management, and strong analytical abilities are essential to effectively address all aspects of business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a delivery roadmap aligned with Insurance Solutions' strategic objectives, ensuring value-driven sequencing and execution.
- Align business goals, strategies, and capabilities across teams to drive cohesive execution and maximize business outcomes.
- Foster collaboration between business and technology teams through a consultative approach, ensuring transparent communication and a shared vision.
- Streamline delivery processes by driving automation, adopting tools, implementing agile practices, and training staff to enhance efficiency.
- Establish a structured approach to reduce technical debt through architectural roadmaps and integration of new technologies.
- Lead the resolution of cross-dependencies in complex initiatives to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage risks, blockers, and challenges proactively, ensuring timely delivery on commitments and maintaining full stakeholder transparency.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate, modernize, or transition legacy technologies to managed services while enhancing data access and simplifying applications to improve operational efficiency.
- Coach and develop team members, building a highly skilled and engaged workforce with strong business and technical acumen. This role manages approximately five direct reports and a full team size of approximately 30 FTEs and 30-50 consulting resources.
- Focus on improving the customer experience by driving productivity and enhancing connected user experiences.
Required Skills:
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise-level delivery of insurance solutions (Life, LTC, DI), including stakeholder management is a must.
- 5+ years of management consulting experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of business ecosystems, including legacy platforms (Mainframe) and modern architectures (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, APIs, microservices, and predictive analytics).
- Proven experience managing multiple IT delivery workstreams and coordinating between business leads and technical teams.
- Strong background in Agile frameworks, including estimation, scheduling, financial planning, and budgeting.
- Experience with project staffing and managing internal and vendor resources.
- Demonstrated success in talent development, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and providing active feedback.
- Strong consulting and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across complex organizations.
- Exceptional analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
