Job Title: ServiceNow Developer Location: Woodlawn MD Need Locals only Job Type: Onsite Client: State Government Agency (State Client MD) Duration: [12 Months with possible extension]

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to support a State Government Client in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow applications and solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in public sector environments and demonstrate expertise in ServiceNow development, integration, and ITSM/ITOM processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom ServiceNow applications and modules based on business requirements.
Configure workflows, forms, lists, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs and MID servers.
Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers to gather and refine requirements.
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and government compliance standards.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input on development estimates and timelines.
Support the upgrade and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.
Document technical specifications, development notes, and user manuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
3 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Proficient in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and web technologies (HTML/CSS, AJAX).
Experience with ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB).
Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer and Service Catalog.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow data schema, ACLs, and scripting.
Knowledge of integrations using REST, SOAP, and JDBC.
Familiarity with FedRAMP, HIPAA, or state-specific compliance (preferred).
Experience working with government or state agencies is highly desirable.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (mandatory).
Additional certifications such as ServiceNow Application Developer or Implementation Specialist are a plus.

Preferred Experience:
Working in a state or federal IT environment.
Experience with ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, or GRC modules.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.

Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
