Job Details

Genesis10 is seeking an .NET Software Engineer. This is a 6 to 12-month contract role is with a manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using .NET (C#) and related technologies
  • Contribute to the architecture and development of scalable microservices, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Actively participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and consistent software delivery
  • Embrace DevOps culture, collaborating closely with operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence of applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and other engineers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver user-centric solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering and cloud computing


Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core/.NET 5+ strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core, gRPC, or other modern .NET technologies
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and practices (e.g., TDD, BDD).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
