Senior QA Performance Engineer (Remote)

Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Performance Engineer to join our team and support the quality assurance of modernized, cloud-based applications. This is a fully remote, full-time position focused on designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure the scalability, stability, and reliability of critical IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, business analysts, and QA teams to identify performance bottlenecks and define test scenarios.
  • Develop and execute performance test scripts for web applications and REST APIs using industry-standard tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Performance Center).
  • Create detailed performance test plans, including test types (stress, stability, breakpoint), test conditions, and metrics.
  • Set up and manage test environments, including cloud-based infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance metrics such as response time, throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Identify, document, and communicate performance issues, working with development teams to recommend solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of performance testing standards and best practices.
  • Support the QA team in maintaining performance testing labs and tools.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 12+ years of overall software testing experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on performance testing with OpenText/Microfocus Performance Center/LoadRunner.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
  • Knowledge of API gateways, proxies, and API security concepts (rate limiting, tokens).
  • Experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
  • Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Azure App Services, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, Data Lake.
  • Familiarity with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.
  • Experience using Azure Monitoring services.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, remote (Monday Friday, normal business hours).
