We are looking for a Environment Manager for our client in Atlanta, GA / Bellevue, WA
Job Title: Environment Manager

Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr

Responsibilities:

Environment Planning and Scheduling:

  • Own and manage the NPE calendar (test cycles, releases, refreshes, maintenance).
  • Partner with project/product delivery teams to allocate and prioritize environments.
  • Manage environment sharing and contention across multiple teams.
  • Identify risks (conflicts, capacity issues, performance impacts) early and escalate as needed.
Technical and DevOps Coordination:
  • Serve as the single point of coordination with DBAs, Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Application teams for environment readiness.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines into environment usage and align deployments with governance standards.
  • Ensure environments are provisioned, refreshed, and configured with all dependencies in place.
Operational Ownership:
  • Oversee environment builds, refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
  • Monitor environment health, availability, and performance in collaboration with SREs.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data, and audit standards.
Cost and Optimization:
  • Manage cloud and environment cost optimization efforts.
  • Track actual vs. estimated usage and right-size environments.
  • Reduce idle spend through automation and governance.
  • Collaboration and Governance:
  • Partner with NPE Intake Analyst to validate demand forecasting and request feasibility.
  • Collaborate with Change Manager to ensure approved changes align with environment schedules.
  • Work with Incident and Request Manager to resolve systemic environment issues identified via RCAs.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • 6 8 years of experience in Environment, Release, or Platform Management with large-scale NPE coverage.
  • Strong experience coordinating across technical teams (DBA, Infra, Network, Security).
  • Proven experience working with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration and automation.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and environment orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience managing shared environments and resolving contention.
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization/FinOps (AWS Cost Explorer, Kub cost, Cloud Health).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, risk escalation, and communication skills.
