About the Role
As a Data Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting complex data initiatives within the Commercial Banking & Lending division. You'll consult on large-scale planning efforts, analyze multifaceted data challenges, and contribute to the resolution of issues requiring deep functional knowledge and regulatory awareness. This role demands strategic collaboration with internal stakeholders and a strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.

About the Role
As a Data Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting complex data initiatives within the Commercial Banking & Lending division. You'll consult on large-scale planning efforts, analyze multifaceted data challenges, and contribute to the resolution of issues requiring deep functional knowledge and regulatory awareness. This role demands strategic collaboration with internal stakeholders and a strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and consult on complex data management initiatives with broad business impact.
- Analyze and resolve multi-dimensional data challenges involving regulatory, technical, and operational factors.
- Support metadata management and data governance activities using tools like Collibra or ADMF.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across risk, audit, and compliance functions to ensure data integrity and regulatory alignment.
- Manage and track multiple deliverables under tight timelines with a strong sense of urgency.
- Facilitate meetings and present findings to peers and senior leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, demonstrated through work experience, consulting, military service, or education.
- Strong understanding of database structures and data movement controls.
- Experience with metadata tools (Collibra, ADMF), data analysis tools (Alteryx), and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and reporting.
- Familiarity with JIRA, SharePoint, and data mapping practices.
- Knowledge of BSA/AML regulatory reporting and commercial lending products.
- Experience in risk management, audit, or independent testing environments.
- Understanding of data security protocols and compliance regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in financial services, particularly within Commercial Banking.
- Familiarity with lending products.
- Understanding of data management policies and regulatory compliance frameworks.
