Job Title: Android Developer
Location: Houston, TX
Work Mode: Hybrid (1 Day/Week)
Duration: Long Term
Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with external data sources and APIs.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven working experience in Android app development.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Familiarity with continuous integration.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
