RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Drupal Developer in Allentown, PA.
Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining the City's internet website and related applications. This includes creating new website structures and functionality for both internal and external users and advising teams on effective web utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drupal Developer will collaborate with the IT Web Team to build and maintain responsive, mobile-friendly webpages and applications for internal and public use
* Participate in business process reviews and re-engineering to support web-based solutions
* Analyze, design, and implement strategies for web development in coordination with City staff
* Provide second-tier technical support for City websites and webpages
* Review peer change controls and monitor requests to ensure best practices and minimize system impact
* As a Drupal Developer, you will write, modify, and troubleshoot website content and functionality
* Ensure all work aligns with City policies, procedures, and safety standards
* Performs duties in accordance with the City's Safety Handbook
* Reports to a designated supervisor or manager
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
* 3 years of recent experience in Drupal development, technical documentation, and programming; Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
* 3+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript; familiarity with Drupal Webforms and JS libraries is a plus
* Strong expertise in Drupal 9/10 with 2+ years as a Site Builder, Front-End or Back-End Developer
* Proficient in web technologies, content management systems, and version control tools like GIT
* Skilled in troubleshooting, testing, and ensuring 508 Accessibility Standards compliance
* Able to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience building responsive, accessible websites using Drupal, Twig, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/jQuery
* Project management experience, including client communication, reporting, and use of issue tracking systems
* Familiarity with Drupal modules like CTools, Views, Paragraphs, Panels
* Strong problem-solving skills, especially with Accessibility/508 issues
* Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
