  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Enforce cloud security best practices, including role-based access control, encryption, and compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Support containerized application deployment using Kubernetes, Docker, and orchestration platforms (e.g., OpenShift, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and support mission-driven development environments.
  • Write and maintain documentation including architecture diagrams, user guides, and system configurations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience engineering solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)).
  • 5+ years of hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, including secure configuration, patch management, PKI, system hardening, and integration with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Experience with GitOps and DevSecOps tools and methodologies (e.g., Argo CD, Flux, Terraform, Tekton, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes) preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (Security+, Network+, or SATCOM industry certifications) are a plus.
  • Experience supporting DoD or other federal cloud migrations or deployments.
  • Knowledge of DoD compliance frameworks (e.g., Impact Level 5/6 (IL5/6), RMF, Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)).
  • 2Experience with OpenShift or hybrid edge/cloud environments.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator, Azure Administrator, Red Hat OpenShift (EX280), or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
