Role: Ruby Developer

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails and SinatraWork with AWS services such as SQS, ECS, ECR, and CloudWatch for containerized deployments and background job processingMaintain and extend applications hosted on Heroku, including dyno scaling, add-ons, and build pipelinesBuild and manage Redis-backed background workers, job queues, and caching mechanismsWrite maintainable, tested, and performant code across services and APIsDiagnose and resolve production issues, optimize system performance, and ensure reliabilityCollaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD workflows and infrastructure observabilityParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processesRequired Skills3+ years of professional experience in Ruby, including production use of Rails and SinatraStrong understanding of RESTful API design, JSON serialization, and background job processingExperience with Redis as a cache and job queue (e.g., Resque, Sidekiq)Proficient with AWS services (especially ECS, ECR, SQS, IAM roles, secrets management)Familiarity with deploying and managing applications on HerokuSolid understanding of containerized development and deployment using DockerComfortable with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORMs (ActiveRecord)Ability to write clear, well-tested, and well-documented codeNice to HaveExperience with service observability (metrics, logging, tracing)Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or CodePipelineBackground in event-driven architectures or distributed systemsExposure to front-end frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus but not required
