Job Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Consultant to serve as the primary point of contact for Rapid Response Retainer (RRR) customers, including Fortune 100 enterprises. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering emergency and non-emergency incident response services, while providing customers with a consistent, trusted interface to the investigative response team.
The consultant will manage multiple client relationships, support live incident response engagements, and deliver proactive cybersecurity services such as incident response plan assessments, tabletop exercises, breach simulations, and forensic readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary incident response consultant for assigned RRR customers, acting as the trusted liaison to investigative and response teams.
Respond to emergency incident response requests, coordinating technical investigations and remediation efforts.
Manage non-emergency customer engagements, service requests, and ongoing advisory support.
Participate in and support reactive incident response investigations, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
Review, create, and enhance Incident Response Plans (IRPs), playbooks, and response procedures.
Design and conduct executive and technical tabletop exercises and breach simulations.
Deliver incident response readiness assessments and computer forensic awareness training.
Brief C-level executives and senior stakeholders on incident findings, risks, and remediation strategies.
Provide clear, actionable recommendations to remediate complex cybersecurity threats.
Manage relationships with 40+ enterprise customers, balancing competing priorities and SLAs.
Collaborate closely with internal forensic, threat intelligence, and consulting teams.
Travel as required to support customer engagements and on-site incident response activities.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Cybersecurity Incident Response or Digital Forensics.
Hands-on experience reviewing, developing, and maintaining Incident Response Plans and Playbooks.
Proven ability to conduct tabletop exercises for both executive and technical audiences.
Experience briefing senior leadership and executive stakeholders during high-pressure situations.
Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources.
Ability to present concise, relevant information to non-technical audiences.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and manage stakeholder expectations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Fortune 100 or large enterprise environments
Background in digital forensics, threat intelligence, or security consulting
Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCIR, CISSP, CISM, CEH
