Oracle PL/SQL Developer - Remote / Telecommute

Job Description:

• The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will develop, maintain, test, and debug software within a Windows client/server environment.
• The role focuses on PL/SQL development and includes data analysis, performance tuning, documentation, and system integration across various interfaces.
• The developer will work closely with stakeholders to meet end-user requirements and adhere to internal quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and test software based on defined specifications.
• Write and optimize PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, triggers, views, materialized views, and dynamic SQL.
• Create and maintain documentation for software and systems.
• Perform system analysis and support for user requests.
• Work with support teams to resolve escalated issues, including data and code corrections.
• Develop automated scripts using UNIX Candidatell to schedule and run PL/SQL jobs.
• Create materialized views, indexes, and apply performance tuning techniques.
• Implement error handling and debugging stXXgies in PL/SQL code.
• Support regulatory, insurance carrier, and business partner interface requirements.
• Assist in mentoring junior developers and promote best practices.
• CollaboXX across teams to deliver and maintain high-quality service.

Should have:

• Strong experience in Oracle server-side programming: PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, packages, stored procedures, triggers, object types, schedulers, web services, and Java stored procedures.
• Experience with XML generation within PL/SQL.
• Hands-on development of records, tables, cursors, and object-oriented PL/SQL.
• Proficient in exception handling and debugging.
• Familiarity with Oracle Explain Plan and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong data analysis, data modeling, and documentation skills.
• Experience in autonomous transactions and dynamic SQL.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred major: Information Systems or Computer Science).

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
