Role: FileMaker Server ( Database Administrator )
Location: Remote
Client Name: Office of Public Insurance Counsel ( State client )
Job Qualifications/ Skills:
Minimum 4 years experience
Experience recovering FileMaker Server access, experience working with FileMaker Server and FileMaker Cloud, and experience transferring on-prem FileMaker databases to FileMaker Cloud.
- Proven experience recovering access to FileMaker Server v13 or similar versions
- Strong understanding of FileMaker Cloud setup and configuration
- Expertise in creating and managing FileMaker database schemas
- Experience with data migration from on-prem FileMaker to FileMaker Cloud
- Ability to create and manage admin-level access credentials
- Competency in database backup and restoration
- Ability to perform data integrity checks (including record-level comparisons)
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Understanding of Claris FileMaker security practices
- Create and secure new admin credentials
- Backup and export existing FileMaker database (7,300 records, 45 fields)
- Rebuild database schema in FileMaker Cloud platform
- Upload and verify data integrity (including field-by-field record testing)
- Produce verification reports and certifications post-migration
- Strong understanding of FileMaker schema design and data structures
- Proficiency in backup, recovery, and data integrity testing
- Ability to troubleshoot access recovery and security issues
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Experience with FileMaker Scripting
- Familiarity with FileMaker WebDirect
- Knowledge of FileMaker version upgrades or compatibility handling
- Experience working in a government agency or regulated environment
- Experience with FileMaker WebDirect
- Government or public-sector data handling experience
- FileMaker Certification (preferred)
