Our client, a manufacturer and leader in their industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to be located in Freeport, IL.

The Opportunity

The Electrical Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.

 

Job Skills/Requirements for the Electrical Controls Engineer:

  • The Electrical Controls Engineer will design electrical systems and components. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to ensure seamless integration.
  • The Electrical Controls Engineer will conduct activities concerning technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test problems.
  • The Electrical Controls Engineer will produce PLC programs, schematics and panel layout drawings using Allen Bradley, Siemens and AutoCad electrical software
  • Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing electrical systems.

 

Requirements

Job Requirements for the Electrical Controls Engineer:

  • AS or BSEE with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.
  • Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming with the following PLCs: Allen Bradley
  • Must have thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operation of electrical equipment.
  • Experience using CAD software for design purposes.
  • Are you legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship?
