Job description:

  • The AD is responsible for the look-and-feel of projects with a strong emphasis on developing and refining concepts, digital strategy; UI and UX design a plus.
  • Additionally, they will be supporting various initiatives and partnering closely with cross-functional teams Marketing, International Business Development, eCommerce, Social, Digital and Creative teams as well as global partners and external vendors.
  • This person must be highly knowledgeable in understanding consumer behavior in beauty (especially luxury brands), the nuances of online functionality, digital marketing, emerging technology and trends and incorporate into the creative process.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create concepts and execute digital touch points, with a focus on the e-commerce ecosystem with a strong focus on our mobile platform
  • Maintain visual and conceptual consistency across multi-channel brand strategy for collections and brand initiatives and apply to all interactive platforms
  • Conceptualize break through (brand appropriate) digital creative that is modern and disruptive with dynamic story telling
  • Oversees the production process for all digital assets
  • Attend photo and video shoots and oversee post-production
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess an open attitude and collaborative style. Need to collaborate with cross functional teams and with our key global partners
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the industry and apply new ideas to IT Cosmetics global digital strategy

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong conceptual abilities, exceptional art direction skills and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color and page layout, and a great eye for detail
  • Ability to communicate concepts through sketches, diagrams, wireframes, visual comps and interactive prototypes
  • 10 years in a highly productive creative environment, with experience centered on E-commerce
  • Experience with people management and mentoring a team of designers
  • Strong portfolio of real-world work that showcases retail-focused design thinking?

  • As the Art Director for Skinbetter Science, you ll be the visionary and guardian of the brand s visual expression across all channels, with a strong focus on digital. Reporting to the VP, Global Head of Creative, Aesthetic DMIs, you ll shape and elevate the brand s visual identity through consistency, innovation, and market relevancy.

Here s What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like

  • Conceptualize & Art Direct: Lead the creative vision for all campaigns, ensuring alignment with the brand s DNA and delivering innovative concepts that resonate across diverse audiences.
  • Production & Execution: Oversee the production of high-quality assets across print, digital, and packaging, ensuring seamless execution from concept to delivery. Your versatility will shine as you adapt designs for various formats and platforms.
  • Cross-Industry Expertise: Leverage your experience working in agencies across multiple industries to bring fresh perspectives and avoid over-specialization, ensuring the brand remains dynamic and relevant.
  • Photoshoots & Visual Storytelling: Manage and art direct photoshoots, crafting compelling visual narratives that elevate the brand s identity and connect with consumers globally.
  • Channel Alignment: Maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints, from digital platforms to retail displays, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
  • Creative Leadership: Inspire and manage in-house designers and external agencies, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and external agencies, to ensure timely and successful execution of campaigns.
  • Strategic Oversight: Assist in managing creative budgets, timelines, and workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

We Are Looking For

  • You re a creative powerhouse with a passion for design and a knack for execution. Here s what we re looking for:
  • A Bachelor s degree in graphic design or visual communications.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in art direction and campaign design, with expertise in print, digital, and packaging production.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing typography, print design, and production design.
  • Experience in both agency and in-house environments.
  • Proficiency in managing photoshoots, creative budgets, and timelines.
  • Leadership skills to manage in-house designers and external agencies.
  • A self-starter mindset with a collaborative spirit.
