Data Analyst -Cloud Migration

Position: Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud technologies to support a strategic migration project from DB2 to a microservices-based architecture on AWS. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing source and target system mappings, ensuring data integrity, and enabling seamless transition to the cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document source-to-target mappingsbetween DB2 and AWS-based microservices.
• Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, validate, and transform data from legacy systems.
• Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and validation tasks.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data flows and dependencies.
• Support the design and implementation of ETL pipelines and data migration strategies.
• Perform data profiling, quality checks, and gap analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data mappings, transformation logic, and migration processes.
• Participate in UAT and post-migration validation efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data analysis with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 and AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Lambda, RDS, Glue).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data migration projects or legacy modernization.
• Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
