Job Details

Job Title: AI Project Lead / AI Engagement Consultant / Data Strategy Specialist
Location: Remote (Canada-based preferred)
Contract: 6 Months (Extension Possible)
Experience with the Department of Energy (DOE) is Mandatory

We re looking for a results-driven professional to lead and support AI and data strategy initiatives within a government-focused environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in project delivery, data governance, and AI use case development, with prior experience working on Department of Energy-related projects.

What You ll Do:

Project Planning & Kickoff

  • Set up access to systems and data

  • Define project goals, timelines, and communication protocols

Use Case Ideation & Prioritization

  • Run collaborative workshops to identify AI opportunities

  • Develop problem statements and prioritize a practical product backlog

Compliance & Privacy

  • Ensure alignment with FIPPA and support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)

  • Safeguard data integrity, confidentiality, and availability

Knowledge Sharing & Documentation

  • Deliver easy-to-follow documentation, training, and transition plans

  • Help internal teams adopt and sustain solutions effectively

AI Roadmap Development

  • Contribute to future AI strategies and help define what s next

What We re Looking For:

  • Experience working on Department of Energy (DOE) mandates is required

  • 4+ years of experience in project delivery, data strategy, or AI consulting

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills

  • Familiarity with privacy and compliance frameworks (especially FIPPA)

  • Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value
