Job Title: Transportation CADD Technical Lead Roadway Design

Role Summary:
Senior Transportation CADD Technical Lead with over 10 years of hands-on experience supporting roadway and highway design projects. Proven expertise in leading CADD standards, workflows, and digital delivery strategies for DOT and large infrastructure programs. Deep understanding of evolving transportation design technologies, including model-based delivery, asset management integration, and data-driven design practices.
Core Qualifications & Expertise:
- 10+ years of Transportation CADD experience with a strong focus on roadway and highway design
- Extensive experience with MicroStation / Open Roads Designer, Civil 3D, and DOT CADD standards
- Proven leadership as a CADD Technical Lead, supporting multi-disciplinary roadway teams
- Strong knowledge of digital delivery frameworks, including:
- Model-based design (3D/4D)
- Digital as-builts and electronic plan delivery
- Automated quantity takeoffs and design validation
- Experience integrating design models with asset management systems and lifecycle data
- Familiarity with data-driven design practices, including:
- Design automation
- GIS integration
- Data validation and quality control workflows
- Expertise in developing and enforcing:
- CADD standards and best practices
- Workspace configuration and template management
- QA/QC processes for transportation design deliverables
- Ability to support distributed teams in a fully remote environment
- Strong collaboration with roadway engineers, project managers, and DOT stakeholders
